A trail running club for every pace and every person.
The Long Point Trail Club is a community trail running club based out of Long Point, a UNESCO world biosphere region, in Norfolk County. We’re dedicated to exploring and celebrating the region’s trail networks and fostering a fun, supportive community.
We are 100% inclusive; everyone is welcome, whether you’re brand new to trail running or a trail veteran, a local or just visiting, or a road runner who’s trail curious. Our no-drop policy means no one is left behind. We offer flexible pacing and options to suit different abilities. Drop in and try a run, no membership required.
Trail runs will be led by volunteer trail leaders and supported by a certified ultra-running coach. Each run includes alternate routes for those who want to go longer or shorten their experience, with GPX files and routes for upcoming races shared through our Rest Day newsletter delivered every Monday, Facebook, and the Long Point Strava club.
Runs will always start at or near local businesses. Pre-run snacks and drinks will be provided, and post-run social time for coffee, food, or drinks is always encouraged.

Routes will be shared in advance via our Rest Day newsletter, Strava club, and Facebook group. Everyone is welcome. Group runs are designed for every pace and experience level. No drop means no one is left behind, but alternate routes will be provided for those who want to extend or shorten their experience. Pre-run drinks and snacks will be provided and post-run socials are encouraged.
Thursday Workouts
Join us for structured sessions designed to build stronger, more resilient runners by improving fitness, efficiency, and confidence at faster or harder efforts. These sessions will be led by ultramarathon coach, Calantha Elsby, and include intervals, hill repeats, or other quality efforts, with options to adjust intensity and duration for any ability level.
Don’t want to do the workout? No worries! We’ll share an alternative route for the same duration so we all finish at the same time.
Locations: Waterford, Simcoe, Port Dover, Turkey Point.
6:30 p.m. every Thursday starting in 2026
Sunday Long Runs
Long runs will range anywhere from 5km to 25+ km, with the possibility for two different groups (a longer and shorter group) depending on need. While we encourage everyone to run as a group, alternate routes will be provided for those who want to shorten or lengthen their run.
We’ll start at the same place and everyone is encouraged to meet up afterward for post-run snacks, drinks, and social time.
Locations: Turkey Point, Long Point Eco-Adventures, Backus Woods.
8:30 am. every Sunday starting early 2026
