Thursday Night Workout

Join us for a Thursday night workout. These structured workouts are designed for all paces and experience levels. Coach Calantha Elsby will lead the efforts, and we’ll wrap up with some post-run social time at a nearby restaurant or brewery.

Session Details

This week we’ll tackle some 500m tempo intervals on a scenic loop of the Lions Trail and Lynn Valley Trail in Port Dover.

Workout: 500 m tempo intervals
Meet-up Location: Port Dover Lions Silver Lake Market parking lot (map)
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Post-run Social: Twoeleven Main (map)

Details:

  1. We’ll start with a 5-min dynamic warm-up, followed by a 1km group jog along the Lions waterfront trail to the Lynn Valley Trail.

  2. We’ll pick up speed for 500 m, looping back to the waterfront and recovering for 500 m back to the Lynn Valley.

  3. Run as many intervals as possible within 30 minutes. We’ll regroup at the looped starting point for an easy jog back to the finish with some light stretching before heading to Twoeleven Main for post-run drinks and snacks.

For walkers

If you want to walk instead, you can follow the Lions waterfront path and walk down the Lynn Valley trail and back. Appropriate for strollers and bikes!
